Economists Oppose Stimulus Bill

by Rob Viglione on March 21, 2009

In January, regarding the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, President Obama stated that “there is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help jumpstart the economy.” Over 300 economists, 3 Nobel Laureates, and many other prominent scholars signed a statement in opposition to the plan.

Political disinformation only goes so far in the digital age.

But all the corporate capitalists and small business owners who really own this government claim they have to get this package or “the economy will grind to a halt”. Likely a fabrication - how about this, “IF the feds don’t give me 20k per yr for the next 5 years, I will personally GRIND to a HALT!”…

they need to support my BLOGS because they’ll stop othewise… makes sense to me!

Economic blackmail?? you bet - is it necessary? we’ll never know.. cuz the gov’t will jump whenever corporations tell them to. The wealthy elite wags the entire U.S. dog by controlling the elections with their money, necessary to get elected; then they control Congress with 4 lobbyists per member of Congress (is that the opposite of “Progress”? the old pro/con joke..)

Good stuff.. this blog needs more info, Obama is doing far more than one item per 2 wks!
